Gaze in awe at the whimsical mosaics and dragon statues of Gaudi’s Park Guell in Barcelona on a fully guided 1.5-hour walking tour, and learn the story of how it was originally conceived as a market town, and went on to open as a public park.

Marvel at the flamboyant designs of Barcelona’s Park Guell on a guided walking tour, and see the mosaics designed by Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi at the turn of the 20th century.

Meet your guide at the entrance to the garden complex, located on the hill of El Carmel above the Gràcia district. They will take you on a walk of the extensive grounds, now part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site “Works of Antoni Gaudi.”

See Doric columns and vaulted walkways, as well as the multicolored salamander, known as “El Drac.” The focal point of the park is the main terrace, with serpentine benches and beautiful views across the city.

Your guide will provide an informative commentary of the park’s history, from its origins as an unsuccessful housing site named after Count Eusebi Guell, through its conversion to a municipal garden, popular for an afternoon stroll.
